Game families & public communities

Explore the connections between individual games, broader rules families, and public Discord and Reddit communities.

A system can have a family assignment, be explicitly standalone, or remain unclassified. Standalone and unclassified games are not combined into a catch-all ranked family, and the absence of an assignment does not mean a game is ineligible for the project.

From v2, each release bundles the system-to-family classification with a researched Discord server registry and many-to-many associations. A game or family can have several servers, and one server can cover several games or families. Public invite links, membership lookup links, scope notes, and evidence accompany the mappings. Gaps remain visible; no member observations are part of the classification.

From v3, that same bundle also contains a researched subreddit registry and system/family associations. Subreddit links, subscriber metadata resources, scope notes and evidence are available for later checks. Subscriber access remains unverified; weekly visitors are not subscriber counts.

Each version has a permanent page, downloadable CSVs, rules, and metadata. Versions are released as needed. Earlier versions remain available, and monthly index releases keep their original version reference.
